Apple’s M1 Chip is Now Featured in the iPad Pro Line

And that’s far from the only upgrade in the new tablet models unveiled at today’s special event.

Both tablets feature a Thunderbolt/USB-C port for access to a number of additional accessories like displays and storage.

You’ll also be able to purchase an iPad Pro with a 5G connection and up to 2TB of storage.

Both tablets also sport vastly improved camera systems. The TrueDepth front camera is now a 12MP ultra-wide model with the new Center Stage feature. During video calls, that will use the machine learning of the M1 processor to keep the user centered in the frame.

In the larger, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Apple is unveiling new Liquid Retina XDR screen. That’s the same screen found in the Pro Display XDR and features upgraded brightness and more.

You can order the new iPad Pro models starting on Friday, April 30. They will land in May. The 11-inch model starts at $799 while the 12.9-inch version starts at $999.
