Madhav Sheth tweeted that the Realme 8 series will be the first phones to run Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. That’s not 100% right as the Realme GT (which already completed its first flash sale) does run version 2.0 of the company’s custom software.
However, the GT is available only in China for now and Sheth is CEO of Realme India and Europe. For those regions at least he is correct.

Anyway, the Realme 8 series will also feature upgrade Starry Mode with the ability to record time-lapse videos – the first of their kind on mobile. This mode will work best with the large 108 MP sensor (ISOCELL HM2, 1/1.52”) on the Pro phone. You can read more about Starry Mode (and the camera’s other features) here.

Other tidbits tweeted out by the CEO reveal that the Realme 8 and 8 Pro will feature Super AMOLED displays (6.4″ in the case of the vanilla model).
Also, the 8 Pro will support 50W SuperDart charging, which can fill the battery to 100% in 47 minutes. The vanilla Realme 8 will charge at 30W and it will have a 5,000 mAh battery. We know that from the time Sheth tweeted out the key specs of the phone.
